We are thrilled to announce the triumphant return of Heavy Cardboard Night, a massive night of titanic board games. You are invited to join us on Saturday, January 15 at Fair Game La Grange. And bring along all those chunky resource management games that don't get nearly enough play!

To make sure we have enough time to play these gigantic titles, the event runs from 6 PM all the way until midnight.

Our first Heavy Cardboard night was a huge success! We played Root. We played Pipeline. (And when we needed a palette-cleanser, we went with Villainous and Splendor.) It was the perfect opportunity to play those amazing in-depth games that don't normally hit the table.

And now, almost 2 years later, we're thrilled to host the event again! Make sure to preregister and save your seat at this epic board game event.

Additional Information

  1. Masks will be required for all attendees at all times.
  2. Participants must be ages 14+. Participants under the age of 18 attend the event in tandem with an adult throughout the duration of the event.
  3. We will be making an attempt to coordinate specific games and groups via the #board-games channel on the Fair Game Discord Server. If you're not already a member, you're invited to join the conversation!
  4. For the purposes of the event, "heavy cardboard" refers to games that take over an hour to play.
  5. There are a number of restaurants open late in the La Grange area. For various reasons, we will not be providing the ability for folks to eat in store, so please plan accordingly. (Grab dinner before you stop in for the event, or dip out for a few minutes to get a bite.)
