Fair Game Downers Grove will be hosting its first ever Pro Quest Flesh and Blood tournament on Saturday, February 19 at 10:30 AM CST. In addition to other prizes, the winner of the event will receive an invite to Pro Tour 2022.

We are extremely proud that Legend Story Studios chose Fair Game as a location for one of these premier events and look forward to hosting a legendary experience for the greater Flesh and Blood community.

PREREGISTRATION IS VERY IMPORTANT, as seats for this event are limited. You can preregister through this link. Please make sure to review all event details (included below) before completing registration.  We are unlikely to have walk-up participation capacity.

Event Details

  1. Participants must register for an account on the official Flesh and Blood website in advance of the event. They can register for one of those here.
  2. Participants must also preregister for the event through the Fair Game website.
  3. If the event sells out, we advise becoming a part of the Flesh and Blood channel on our Fair Game Discord server. If additional seats become available, we will do our best to post about them through that channel. We also advise checking on the event the night before and the morning of February 19, as we will be adding seats for the event should anyone withdraw at the last moment. We will not be keeping a waiting list for the event.
  4. If you are unable to attend the event, please let us know on or before Wednesday, February 16 and we can provide a refund. After this date, event registration will be non-refundable.
  5. After getting preregistered for the event on the Fair Game website, participants must also register for the event in the Flesh and Blood GEM tournament software. You can complete that step here.
  6. The format for the event is Classic Constructed. Decklists are required for the event. Please fill out a deck registration sheet before the event and bring it with you. Failure to provide an accurate deck registration sheet at the scheduled start time for the event could result in disqualification.
  7. This event will be run at Casual rules enforcement level. You can discover more about Flesh and Blood game/tournament rules and policy here.
  8. The event will consist of a variable number of Swiss rounds (based on attendance) followed by a cut to top 8. We anticipate that we will play either 5 or 6 rounds of Swiss, though the final attendance numbers will determine this.
  9. Please show up at or before the official start time of the event. If you are running late, please call ahead. Regardless of whether you call ahead, any players who have not shown up for the event within the first 10 minutes of the first round will be dropped from the event.

Mask & Food Policy

  1. Masks are required for all event attendees at all time. Taking a drink of water or another beverage is allowed, but participants must replace their mask after taking a sip. Food on the tournament floor is prohibited, but if you need to step away from the floor to grab a snack between rounds, that is okay.
  2. There will be a break midway through the event to allow participants time to eat (most likely between the Swiss rounds and the cut to top 8). There are a number of local restaurants where you can dine, though you must return to the event before the break ends, so we recommend choosing a restaurant with quick service times or bringing a meal with you.

  1. Top 8 Prizes. The 7 Cold foil hero prize cards will be randomly given out as each player is eliminated from the top 8.
  2. Top 2 Prizes. Before the final match begins, the two finalists will each be given the ProQuest play mat.
  3. Grand Prize. At the conclusion of Top 8, first place is awarded the random drop Gold Cold Foil prize card. Our tournament software will also qualify the champion eligible for the Pro Tour at the completion of the event. (There is no physical Pro Tour invitation.)
  4. Additional Prizes. Based on attendance, additional prizes may be distributed to participants in the event (including those not in the top 8). The prize structure is dependent on attendance, as the store must first recover the costs of running the event before allocating prizes. That said, we anticipate that two Flesh and Blood booster packs per player will be included in the prize pool. Additional prizes will be distributed by standing at the end of the Swiss rounds.

Fair Game Code of Conduct

  1. We make room for everyone at the table. We expect that everyone will be excellent to one another.
  2. Community members should refrain from explicit promotion of other retailers/businesses on the store premises. Telling your opponent about a podcast you create is fine. Handing out flyers for another store's tournament is not.
  3. While we do allow community members to trade gaming products and accessories in the store, selling anything on the store premises is strictly prohibited, and anyone found participating in this activity may be permanently banned from the store.
  4. Vulgar language and imagery, racism, misogyny, homophobia, transphobia, and bigotry or discrimination of any kind will not be tolerated.
