Kinfire Council puts players in charge of rebuilding Din’Lux, the last great city standing against the dangers of the Starless Nights. As members of the city council, players deploy workers, gather resources, upgrade districts, build kinfire lighthouses, and vote on decrees that can help their own plans—or complicate everyone else's.

Every councilor brings a unique ability, while workers can be trained in different skills to support different strategies. The Cult of Altan adds another layer of tension: players can work to protect the city, undermine the council, or even secretly align themselves with the Cult. With more than 720 possible starting combinations, Kinfire Council offers substantial variety from game to game.

At Fair Game, Kinfire Council is a strong fit for experienced board gamers who enjoy heavier strategy with negotiation and political intrigue mixed in. Worker placement gives players a familiar strategic foundation, while voting, asymmetric councilors, and the possibility of a Cult conspirator winning create plenty of opportunities for table talk and unexpected turns. It is particularly well suited to groups that enjoy games where everyone's goals aren't necessarily aligned.
