Part-Time Inventory, Shipping & eCommerce Associate

Location: Geneva, IL

Schedule: Approximately 20 hours per week. Anticipated hours are Monday–Friday, 9:00am–2:00pm, with occasional Saturday work as needed. Final schedule to be determined.

Pay Range: $16-18/hr

Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented, process-driven, and self-directed Part-Time Inventory, Shipping & eCommerce Associate to support operations at our Geneva location. This role plays a critical part in maintaining accurate inventory, ensuring eCommerce listings are active and accurate, and coordinating product movement between store locations.

This position reports to the Operations & Marketing Manager and Ownership. It is an individual contributor role with no supervisory responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

Inventory Management

• Receive and process incoming shipments.
• Verify packing slips and ensure accurate receiving in Lightspeed POS.
• Maintain organized and accurate stockroom storage.
• Investigate inventory discrepancies and adjust quantities as needed.
• Prepare and coordinate inventory transfers between Geneva, La Grange, and Downers Grove locations.
• Ensure accurate documentation and system updates for all transfers.
• Assist in developing and maintaining inventory processes as the role evolves.

eCommerce Operations

• Create and activate product listings on the company website and, where applicable, eBay.
• Build listings from scratch or from existing items within Lightspeed using established internal processes for images and descriptions.
• Ensure listings are accurate, complete, and properly categorized.
• Pack and ship online orders accurately and efficiently.
• Monitor order flow and communicate any fulfillment issues promptly.
• Manage shipping supplies and create re-stock orders as needed
• Keep area clean and organized

Qualifications

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
• Process-driven mindset with the ability to follow established systems consistently.
• Self-directed and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Comfortable working with POS and online systems (Lightspeed experience a plus).
• Basic familiarity with eCommerce platforms (e.g., website backend, eBay) preferred.
• Strong organizational skills and time management.
• Comfort with repetitive, process-oriented tasks.
• Reliable and consistent attendance.

Preferences:

• Previous warehouse, retail, and/or fulfillment experience
• Experience with eBay or other online listing services

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds.
• Ability to stand for extended periods.
• Comfortable working in a stockroom environment.
