The Cypher System is a setting-agnostic roleplaying game from Monte Cook Games. It is the system behind games like Numenera, The Strange, and Old Gods of Appalachia. It uses a standardized difficulty system for d20 rolls, three health pools that double as resources for abilities, and earning XP through setbacks called "GM Intrusions". More information on the Cypher System is available on their website.

Session Description from the GM:

The cold stone streets of River's Watch hear things...they hear the disdain among the peasantry for the dangers that lurk in the woods and hills beyond the watchtower; they hear the whispers of travelers and merchants being attacked by horrors in the night; they hear the unanswered rumors of rituals and other dark magics. You are the torch-bearing investigators hoping to bring such dangers to heel and such mysteries to light.

Witch Hunter is a dark-ish fantasy setting that takes inspiration from Van Helsing, Shadow and Bone, The Witcher, Bloodborne, Warhammer: Age of Sigmar, and Eldermourne. Players will take on the roles of fantasy investigators digging into the mysteries on the town quest board. They will have to use their wits, abilities, and morals to overcome the challenges of the night.
